Players eagerly awaiting the launch of Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined can get a head start too much longer. An exciting demo version will go live on Jan. 7, providing a substantial look into the game's opening hours. Critically, all advancement made within this demo can be transferred directly into the full game upon its eventual release.
This project is a ground-up reimagining of the iconic 2000 role-playing game, initially known as Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past. In a significant step away from recent series re-releases, like the recently released HD-2D iterations, this remake adopts a unique three-dimensional visual presentation. Interested players will be able to start experiencing the transformed world of DQ7 firsthand when the free demo becomes available on Wednesday, January 7th. Subsequently, the complete adventure, Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, is then scheduled to release on February 5, 2026. It will be available on a broad selection of systems, such as Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.
