James Set to Miss Beginning of National Basketball Association Campaign because of Sciatica.

The Lakers superstar has been ruled out for around four weeks and is confirmed to miss the beginning of the NBA season with sciatic nerve pain, the Los Angeles Lakers announced.

The player, aged 40, agreed to a new agreement with the LA team in June and is poised to be the first player to play across 23 individual campaigns.

Sciatic nerve issues refers to discomfort in the sciatic region that travels down the spine and down the leg.

LeBron James was absent in exhibition games and was out for the defeats against the Golden State Warriors and the Suns recently because of the nerve issue.

James will likely miss for all five of the Lakers' games in October, which includes the season-opener against Golden State Warriors.

James, the NBA's all-time leading scorer, has not missed before the beginning of the season in his 22-year career.

His count of one thousand five hundred sixty-two regular-season appearances is only 50 away than surpassing former Boston Celtics star Parish's all-time record.

The four-time NBA champion featured in seventy of the team's eighty-two games the previous campaign and played on 71 matches in the year before.

The previous season, the player posted 24.4 points, 8.2 assists per game and 7.8 rebounds per game and came in sixth in the MVP award vote.

Los Angeles Lakers reached the playoffs in 2024-25 but fell 4-1 against the Minnesota in the initial stage.
