Passionate followers of the actress are calling for that a individual who jumped a fence and seized the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be detained or removed from Singapore.
A widely shared video shows the individual from Australia bypassing camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the cast made its way down a yellow carpet surrounded by onlookers.
Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly pulled the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the event by event staff.
Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being arrested", though court documents showed that he was set to attend court on the next day. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.
This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram feed includes clips of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney show in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers event in the area last year.
"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is clearly a punishable act," stated an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.
"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user questioned.
Several fans accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming hundreds.
"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented a further comment on Instagram.
Some fans also questioned guards at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while others requested social media platforms to block Mr Wen's uploads.
In clips shared widely, Grande appeared shocked when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by guards.
Grande has not commented on the situation, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.
Numerous of fans had gathered in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore venue, including a number who had waited for as long as eight hours before it commenced.
The movie, to be premiered on 21 November, is the follow-up of a two-film adaptation of the acclaimed theatrical show Wicked, which focuses on the surprising friendship between two contrasting characters.
The musical itself is a derivative of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.
They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.
The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful film of 2024 in the UK, and scored ten Oscar nominations, earning a pair for outstanding attire and set decoration.
