Accused Stalker Asked: 'However Imagine I Am Madeleine?'

A individual indicted with pursuing Kate McCann reportedly recorded her a recorded message which posed: "suppose I am Madeleine?"

The defendant, 24, who witnesses stated has consistently declared she was the disappeared Madeleine McCann, and Karen Spragg are facing charges charged with pursuing Kate and Gerry McCann from June 2022 and February the current year.

On Monday, the court learned communication data and information obtained from phones documented Ms Wandelt repeatedly asking Madeleine's mother for a DNA test during that period.

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's answerphone expressed: "Suppose there is a small chance that I am Madeleine? What then? Wouldn't that be crucial for you?"

"I don't want money, I maintain a living here in Poland, I only wish to know," the recording stated.

The panel was informed that via electronic messages, text messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt requested a biological test, sent childhood photos to her phone in a attempt to display a similarity to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and stated to have "flashbacks" from a early life with the McCanns.

The investigator, an intelligence analyst with Leicestershire Police who compiled the data, informed the court there "didn't appear to be any replies" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also reached out to close associates of the McCanns, according to the phone records.

On 9 October 2024, the father picked up a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "incorrect contact information."

On that occasion Ms Wandelt recorded a recording on Mrs McCann's voicemail stating "I won't give up and I plan to establish my point."

The court was informed Mrs Spragg developed a connection online with Ms Wandelt preceding joining her on a trip to the McCanns' home in the county in that winter.

Call logs showed Mrs Spragg had contacted via WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to say the news outlets had characterized Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she deserved to be considered genuine in the months preceding the trip to that location, the county, in December 2024.

The court learned communications between the two accused, in that autumn, discussing trying to acquire Mrs McCann's genetic material from her bins or from cutlery at a dining venue.

"We have to take action," Mrs Spragg advised Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the appearance to their residence, Mrs Spragg transmitted a message which expressed: "We're currently sitting adjacent to the McCanns' residence with our lights out like detectives. I wanted to do this with someone else I never thought I would be involved in this with the McCanns."
